Several years ago, a Lake Norman resident called me about saving a tree in their landscape. I found the tree with less than 50% of its limbs still alive, and I recommended that he remove the tree. The resident asked that I try to save the tree, so I contacted Bob Crane, owner of Stumpy’s Tree Service. Bob had to remove so much dead wood, that when finished, the tree resembled a telephone pole. I came behind him with a root injection of organic nutrients comprised of sea kelp, worm castings, and liquid fish extracts. I was at the property today and noticed the tree is very healthy. Its not the prettiest tree in the yard, but we made the homeowner happy, and a believer in our abilities. Since this project, Bob and I have worked together to save many more trees in the Lake Norman Area. In fact this morning, I completed our latest tree saving request. Hopefully I’ll be able to have a similar post several years from today.
