Planting shrubs too close to your HVAC unit can cause damage to their foliage. These acuba shrubs have experienced burn to the folige, due to the hot air exhausting from the top of the HVAC unit. The leaves did not actually burn, they just dehydrated from the excessive hot air being blown across them.
